Had a bit of a crazy week..my mom broke her back. Also my husband's office moved which caused some readjusting. At least last weekend was pretty low-key and we were able to recharge. We visited the train station and went to a movie. This weekend we are off the circus. Should be fun.
Our trip to the Woodland Park Zoo last Sunday. My husband had just gotten a new 500mm lens he wanted to try out - he was really happy with it. Unfortunately I fell right at the entrance of the zoo (yes I'm a total klutz) and spent most of the day limping along.
Have you even been a tourist in the town you live in? That's pretty much what we did all weekend. Mostly because my husband got a new camera lens he wanted to try out. So we did everything from the zoo to the Space Needle in just 2 days. I thought I'd dedicate one day a piece this week to the different spots we visited over the weekend.
First up, we started out antique shopping in Fremont, one of the more artistic communities in Seattle.
We started out at the Vintage Mall - two floors of retro fun.
and then it was over to one of my favorite stores, Deluxe Junk.
We were going to visit the Fremont Troll next, but I took a wrong turn (directions are not my thing) and ended up at our next destination which I will post tomorrow. Hope you had a great weekend!
I took my kids to see Alice in Wonderland (again) and they are totally smitten with the movie. We decided to do a photo shoot yesterday with my son as the Mad Hatter and my daughter as Alice. Even though it doesn't exactly look like the movie we had a really fun time doing it.
I'm taking the "Tell Your Story " Art Journal Class from Red Velvet Art. I've never made an art journal before. This is my "intro" page, the class doesn't actually start until the end of April, but it's fun playing with paints and markers. I'm using a sketchbook with Watercolor paper.
