I was so excited to be asked to be a part of the new Life Documented Team for Simple Stories. I am loving their products and their whole memory keeping concept. This week I posted my first project and I thought I'd post it here on my blog as well.
I think my favorite part of the collection were these pockets which are perfect for memorablia. Even better they come in a 4x6 size which fit right into the Pocket Pages.
I filled this one up with tags and receipts from a road trip.
For journaling I typed a list right onto a card
and also added journaling on top of photos in Photoshop before I printed them out.
The transparent journal cards were fun as well. I put this camera transparency right over the top of my photo and writing...
I will be back soon with more Life Documented pages. They are highly addictive.
I was so inspired by this post at Photojojo the other day, I decided to make my own "Portrait without People". Yesterday was the last day of school for the kids. It was a half day so we went to a movie matinee. I gathered up the little bits from our day and took a picture. It's kind of a fun way to record memories without lots of pictures. Might have to try it more often.
Photoshop Action used is Twitterpated from the Blessings set at Paint the Moon.
I was on the Crate Paper Blog yesterday with this little souvenir box I made to hold beach trinkets. I used the new Pier collection and covered the top of the box with the map paper, and added lots of embellishments inside.
It's got my favorite color scheme: aqua and red.
There's more pictures and details over at the Crate blog. Hope you are having a good week.
My daughter surprised me yesterday by cleaning her room all on her own. This is pretty much unheard of in our house. It inspired me to take it one step further and decorate some of her bookshelves. I used the Maggie Holmes Collection by Crate Paper to recover some of her favorite books which were getting a little frayed around the edges.
