I decided to document the Secret Santa exchange we had at my book club.
This year we had a yummy lunch of tossed green salad, chicken stew and apple pie for dessert. Afterwards we exchanged gifts from our Secret Santa. I put my journaling in an envelope I made with my Cameo. I'm still struggling with my Cameo, but at least this one worked.
Our book selection this month was The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. We all really enjoyed it.
And in other news...
I fell down and twisted my ankle, two of my toes are black and blue, and every time I take a step I get a jolt of pain. It's not helping much with the amount of housework and laundry I need to get done in the next few days.
My daughter and I spent two hours on Thursday night making a Buche de Noel (Yule Log) for extra credit for her French class. Then they ended up cancelling school on Friday due to snow so it was all for nothing.
Speaking of snow we ended up having some for only a few hours before it melted away. I'm crossing my fingers we get more but the weather report is not looking hopeful.
The cat has decided she must continuously knock over my son's little Christmas tree and then sleep on top of it. We can't convince her otherwise.
Okay, it's really not all that bad now that I think about it (other than my foot). Still looking forward to a wonderful Christmas with family.
