I know I've said it before, but I love Seattle during the holidays. I had to include it in my December Daily somewhere.
Most years we see the lights at the usual places like the Space Needle, Woodland Park Zoo or the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. But this year we went a little off the map and found some out of the way spots like the boats in South Lake Union and the side streets in Fremont.
For instance have you ever visited Pike Place Market at night?
The booths that normally hold flowers and vegetables are empty...
and the shops are all closed...
instead of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, the have Porky the red-nosed pig.
and instead of elves making toys for Santa's workshop, you can find elves making giant vats of cheese...yum!
Anyway, if you ever visit Seattle during the holidays I highly recommend you try some out of the way places,
you never know what you might find!
