It's almost that time of year. I am starting to put together my December Daily and I am changing up my approach this year. Basically I'm going with the concept of "anything goes!" I've decided to skip the numbers and just put things in as they happen. Even though it looks a little red, white and blue now, I'm not sticking to any color scheme and hope to use many different colors inside. I don't want to have all my pages be the same size, and I'm trying to use more than just page protectors. It might end up being more of a hodge-podge than normal, but in the end I think it will be fun to put together and hopefully to look through later.
I started out by using some cardboard page dividers with Tim Holtz rub-ons. I won't use these dividers between every page, but will place them randomly throughout my album.
For the opening "page" I inserted some acrylic letters inside a page protector which I trimmed down to fit, and used my fuse tool to close. I always like see-through elements in my albums.
Behind that I have a plain white button envelope. I may add something to the front at some point, or maybe just leave it blank.
Inside the envelope I added a few pictures from Thanksgiving. Again, instead of doing 25 days of Christmas I'm working on the holiday season as a whole. It's such a relief to not have to worry about filling up days, and I think I might actually end up with more pages than normal at the rate I'm adding things.
I'll be back tomorrow with the start of the month. Are you making an album this year, and if so have you started working on it yet?
