December Daily - Finished!

Another year done...ready to put this away and get serious about doing a Project Life in 2013.

Christmas Eve was at my parents' house.  We always have friends and family over for a big dinner.

and for Day 25 I made a recap of the holidays...

We always have to drive over the mountain passes to get to my parents..

by the time we got there we knew we were in for a white Christmas..

which meant snowman building..

and snowball throwing..

and pretty drives through town...

I even turned my car into a reindeer..

My dad taught my son how to build a fire...

while my best friends from high school came over for drinks and to catch up..

We had many friends, family and neighbors over.  A big group went out to the movies on Christmas day.  We ate and drank a lot.  My dad did his annual football pool.  My husband did all of the cooking.  We played cards, we went for walks and we laughed.  It was a wonderful holiday.

Home

We just got home from celebrating Christmas with family.  600 miles, a white Christmas, and lots and lots of great memories.  Hope to post the final pages of my December Daily in the next day or two.

December Daily - Day 24

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house... thought I'd document how our son has been sleeping under the Christmas tree all month.  If you look really close you can see that's he's had company.

The truth is I hate shopping.  But I love window shopping, especially during the holidays.  And my favorite store window is always Tiffanys.

Last year was the carousel theme.  And this year was tiny furniture and houses. 

My other favotire store window is always Anthropologie...

this year they did a lot of cutouts...

It's always fun walking around Seattle this time of year..

December Daily - Day 21

I am a coffee addict and this year my husband got me a latte machine for Christmas which I've been enjoying every day (yes I opened it early).

I've gotten a couple of emails about the viewmaster which has been peeking through the pages of my December Daily and today's the day it finally appears.

You can make the viewmaster two different ways.  You can make it with this digital kit by Lori Whitlock available at jessicasprague.com,  Or Lori has the same file available as a die cut file for the Silhouette. You will need to go into the "Purchase Online" library in Silhouette and search for viewmaster.  Either way, you can just add some vintage images and voila..

I added it to some paper from October Afternoon and that was all there was to it. Super easy!.

December Daily - Day 19

Taking the snow train to Leavenworth...

We realized at some point neither of our kids had ever been on a train before so we decided to take the "Snow Train".

It takes about 4 hours each way as you head up into the mountains but the scenery is beautiful...

the train was decorated really cute and they served breakfast on the way up and dinner on the way back, plus hot chocolate and cookies...

and there was a lot of entertainment on the train from magicians...

to barbershop quartets...

to Santa!

 

December Daily - Day 18

I spent the day at Les Schwab getting snow tires put on the car, but my husband got taken to the Hobbit movie at the Imax theater by his work (Amazon.com).  Afterwards he stopped off at the Seattle Center and took these photos of Seattle lit up during the holidays.
