The New York Times compares Leavenworth to the interior of a snow globe and they are pretty close. It was magical there with carolers, and bonfires, and holidays lights.

What they don't mention is just how crowded it is there during Christmas. There were people in front of us...

people behind us...

people to the side of us...

this was the line to get into the gingerbread shop...

and it was a sorry sight for those waiting to get into the hat shop...

we did spot a few familiar faces wandering through town though...

and the carolers were lovely..

Unfortunately every restaurant had at least a two hour wait, and it was really, really cold there. Which is finally how we found the one place in town where there wasn't a line...
