There's been so much posted recently about December Daily and the new Christmas lines, I thought I'd chime in with what I'm doing this year. I don't make my pages ahead of time, I always make them up day by day as the month progresses. But I do love to use the months leading up to December to gather my supplies together. For instance this weekend we were in Staples buying my daughter her school supplies, and I spotted these jumbo gold paper clips, and into the cart they went. Anytime we are out shopping, especially if it's a vintage store, I have my eyes peeled for a perfect find. I also go through my supplies from prior years because as much as I try not to have leftover supplies I always do. Of course I can't resist getting some things from the new paper collections that have just come out either. This year I plan on using a little each from Crate Paper, Simple Stories, October Afternoon, Webster's Pages, Tim Holtz, and Teresa Collins. For the first time I am going to be using a Sn@p! Album to hold everything together. I'm sticking to the same 6x8" size because it seems to work best for me.
And finally I like to make a few things myself on the computer. I have already made a December calender and a couple of journaling cards, which I will post for free download later on if anyone is interested.
Besides my December Daily, all year long I am also on the lookout for any vintage Christmas ornaments to add to my collection. I found this one on Etsy and I am naming her "Christmas Carol".
I'll also start saving any Christmas flyers that come in the mail. So that's about it. Even though I haven't begun to plan out my December Daily, I am starting to save bits and pieces which for me is half the fun!
