I'm not going to lie, I was super excited when my new Carpe Diem planner came because, well... it's super cute. It's my favorite color and has so many fun embellishments to go with it! But I've been more excited to see how much I'm actually using it. The last couple of weeks have been a little out of control. We just got through Homecoming and this week is all about Halloween. My daughter's friend is coming over after school today so they can carve a pumpkin in the shape of the painting, The Kiss by Klimt. It's for their Humanities class. I'm pulling out Christmas lights and extension cords for our neighbor to borrow for the school Halloween carnival she is organizing. My son now needs a costume for Saturday night. We are invited to two Halloween parties this weekend, and yesterday my daughter reminded me she is hosting a Halloween party at our house this weekend and we haven't even started planning for it yet. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've pulled out my new planner over and over the last couple of weeks, and it's getting a lot of use.
I'm using the to do lists, the menu planners and the calendars. I'm writing lists of things I need for the party. It's going to sound obvious, but I've been so much more organized using a planner and having everything in one place. Today I started filling out my calendar for next month which includes everything from a James Bond costume party to Thanksgiving. How is it almost November already? I'm already starting to think about Christmas and my December Daily.
Speaking of Christmas, next week I'll share how I'm using Claus & Co. to plan out the holidays this year. I'm definitely a planner convert!
(The Carpe Diem planners will be in stores in mid-November and Claus & Co. is already out).
