Back in the day my mom used to get Christmas cards from Bing Crosby. She saved all of her correspondence from him and this summer when I was going through her old scrapbooks I saved one out to put in my December Daily. Last night we watched White Christmas (it's an annual tradition) so I thought this would be a good time to include it in my album. The artist is signed as J Crosby, so I assume a relative of some sort painted the picture.

I tried to find a card from 1954 which was the year White Christmas was made, but I couldn't find one so 1958 it is. Love that stamps cost 4 cents back then.

I made a little pocket with my favorite photo and song lyric from the movie, and just added it to my album with some string. As a side note, according to my mom Bing Crosby always told her his favorite actress in Hollywood was Rosemary Clooney. He also had a least favorite which I won't mention here. And did you know that although Rosemary Clooney played the older sister in the movie, in real life she was seven years younger than Vera Ellen?

On the back of the pocket I added a little journaling to explain what the page was about.

I didn't want to damage it, so I placed the card, envelope and all, straight into a page protector with no adhesive.

Another quick page, and it's on to no. 17.
