1. Starbucks. Not only did they come out with a wonderful array of red cups this year, but also the last three times I've gone through the drive-thru the person in front of me has paid for my drink. I turned around and paid it forward to the person behind me. The last time the barista told me there was once a chain so long it lasted all morning, just people paying for strangers' drinks. It's very heartening to see so many little acts of kindness in the world right now.
2. The 2016 Tiffany & Co. Christmas windows are up. It's officially the start of the holidays for me. My husband went and took pictures.
3. My mom often sends me little snippets of things from the newspaper. If she sees something I might be interested in, or an article about somebody I know, she'll pop it in the mail. So the other day it was not at all unusual when she sent an article to my husband with a note that said "this looked so good I had to send it to you!" But when he opened it my husband was standing there with the most confused look on his face. Then I joined him and we both stood there completely confused why my very wholesome, loving mom wanted us to know how to grow our own marijuana. So many questions were rushing through our brains... did she want us to grow pot for us or for her? What exactly did she think of her son-in-law? Was this a new hobby of hers?
We were so shocked it took us awhile to finally turn the article over and see the recipe on the back.
I hope there are many things making you smile today!
